Why are your frames so special?

We keep our focus on special independent eyewear lines. Our frames are handmade in small independent factories in Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France and Italy. We carry eyewear that takes months to be created, instead of being mass produced over night. Most of our eyewear is made out of hypoallergenic materials, titanium and Italian Mazzucchelli acetate. We pride ourselves in only carrying each frame model one time in our store so they are truly unique in the community and not worn by every other person.

Do you offer warranties on your frames and lenses?

Absolutely. We only work with frame and lens companies that will stand behind their products. Our frames have at least a one-year guarantee against manufacturer defects. Some of our frame lines will go as long as two years. As long as there is no intentional abuse to the eyewear, we will replace them at no charge to you. All of our anti-reflective coatings lenses have a one to two year no- charge warranty against scratches and defects, depending on the product line that is chosen.

What do I need to bring when I come in for a consultation?

We recommend for you to bring in your current prescription so we can best determine what frame and lens chose is right for you. If you do not have a prescription we will gladly schedule you an appointment with our in house optometrist. You can also schedule your appointment online.

 

Can I bring in my own frame?

You are welcome to bring in your existing frame with you. Please understand that all previously worn frames have to be inspected by us first in order to determine if there are any defects or weak areas. We will give you our honest opinion as to the condition of your frame. If you choose to use your own frame please note that we cannot be responsible if your frame breaks while its in our lab or in our possession.

Can I buy frames only from you?

We have worked hard to select the best labs in the United States to work on matching lenses for our beautiful frames. Some of our very special eyewear lines require specially trained lab technicians to do the job correctly. Certain frames might be constructed in an unusual way and require a special technique of inserting the lenses properly and security. We encourage you to allow our trained technicians in handling our frames, however you are certainly free to purchase the frames only as well.

Can I get a frame in a different color?

If you see a frame on our website and are interested in a different color, please contact us directly. We can further assist you in additional color options.

Do you take insurance?

We are a optician-owned practice and therefore cannot take most insurance plans. In addition, there are only a few insurance plans that would allow us to participate in network but they typically have a say in what frame lines we need to carry and what labs we have to use. At OPTIK! we want to have the freedom of selecting only the best frame manufacturers for our store and working with the fastest and most reliable labs in the United States. We will gladly help you fill out your reimbursement form and will provide you with a detailed receipt to show to your insurance for reimbursement.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer discounts on any second pair of lenses purchased either same day or within 30 days of initial purchase. Please ask us for our current special lens package pricing or our "last look" section.

How long does it take to get lenses made?

We work with some of the fastest labs in the United States. The turnaround time all depends on your prescription and the details of your lens treatments. We generally say to allow for 7-10 business days, however most of our customers have been shockingly surprised at a much faster turnaround.

What lenses do you carry?

We carry a wide variety of lenses depending on your prescription need. We are not at all limited to the brand of lens we can get for you but will make our best recommendation based on your previously worn lens design and current prescription.

Do you do repairs/adjustments?

Whether your frame was purchased from OPTIK! or not we will gladly adjust, repair and clean your frames at no charge. We believe that everyone should walk around with shiny, straight and beautiful eyewear and will do our best to help you out in any way we can.

What is your return/exchange policy?

All of our products are custom made for your prescription and your eyes only. Once the order has been placed we cannot return the product. We understand that glasses can be a big investment and it is the first thing people see when they look at you - this is why we ask you to allow us to take the time to help assist you in the fit and selection and make sure that you are 100% confident in your purchase. We have a 14 day exchange only policy. Please understand that at this point new lenses would have to be made and additional charges may apply.

*Our OPTIK! by Wissing frames are all custom made and are single piece items. Due to this, we cannot return or exchange these items. We recommend that you try these items first before making your purchase. Our optician will assist in finding the right shape and size for you.
